The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All-Holiness Bartholomew I, received a phone call from US President Joe Biden on Monday evening, with the American leader expressing his best wishes for the former’s speedy recovery from a stent procedure last week in Manhattan.
The Primate of the Mother Church departed from New York City on Sunday afternoon for Constantinople, after concluding a prominent and very productive two-week Apostolic tour in the United States.
According to reports, the Ecumenical Patriarch thanked the US President for their meeting at the White House, as well as for his keen interest over issues affecting the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
