UN Int’l Day of Commemoration & Dignity of the Victims of Genocide commemorated today

Today, Dec. 9, has been designated since 1948 by the United Nations as the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide – and of the Prevention of this Crime.
On occasion, official Greece awaits the international recognition of the Genocide of Pontian and Asia Minor Hellenism by Kemalist forces in Turkey in the early part of the 20th century.
