The Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece this unveiled the liturgical text of an anniversary Doxology service, on the occasion of this year’s bicentennial of the beginning of the Greek Revolution in 1821, to Holy Metropolises around the country and to the Archdiocese of Athens.
The liturgical text was posted on the webpage of the Apostolic Ministry.
A relevant circular noted that on the occasion of the March 25 Independence Day anniversary, the Holy Synod appointed the Metropolitan of Edessa, His Eminence Joel, to author the text for the special Doxology service, which will include a special prayer.
