The Metropolitan of Corfu, Paxous and the Diapontian Isles, His Eminence Nektarios, this week received a delegation of Serbian youths visiting Corfu as part of program organized by the Patriarchate of Serbia.
The program, entitled “In the Footsteps of Our Ancestors”, has for the past nine years brought Serbian young people to Corfu, who are hosted at the island’s summer camp.
The eponymous Ionian Isle served as a refuge for the Serbian army and many refugees during WWI.
