Members of the Russian Orthodox Church’s permanent Holy Synod on Thursday discussed regulations involving canonical prohibitions and rules for clerics, as well as the sacredness of human life from the very moment of conception, citizens’ military service and a framework for the non-ecclesiastical professional activities of clerics.
The Russian Church’s Holy Synod convened in the Throne Room of the Patriarchal residence in the Holy Monastery of St. Daniel, and was presided over by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill.
