Patriarchate of Georgia: Vaccination not an issue of theology, but of science

The Patriarchate of Georgia over the weekend again underlined that vaccines against the Covid-19 virus have absolutely no relation to issues of theology, but are, rather, “…an object of science”.
The announcement also cited a relevant synodal decision by the Church of Georgia regarding the issue.

The Church’s position was again expressed and conveyed to the faithful in the face of repeated instances of certain priests in Georgia expressing their personal opinion on the matter, and even calling on the faithful to avoid vaccination.
