Patriarchal Meeting of the Workers
In the monastery of St. George Al-Humeyra Patriarchal Monastery.
The third Olympic day culminated with the participation in the Divine Liturgy, which was presided over by His Grace Bishop Ephraim Maalouli, the Patriarchal Vicar. During the homily in the Divine Liturgy, His Grace conveyed the blessing and love of His Beatitude to all worshipers, especially those participating in the meeting, wishing them that this meeting would be fruitful in all dimensions. After the liturgy, the participants moved to listen to a lecture by Bishop Ephraim on the subject of joy, in which he talked about true Christian joy and its distinction from the temporary human emotional joy. They also listened to another lecture by Brother Fadi al-Ish, the president of the Damascus Center of Orthodox Sunday Schools, about distress and ways to get out of it.
As for the evening, the participants went to attend a discussion symposium with Father Arsanios Laham entitled, “Christ in our Lives”.
Then the Olympic Activity Team conducted games in an exciting and competitive manner.
The third day concluded with an evening in which the delegations performed world famous dances, accompanied by a lot of laughter and fun.
The lights were put out on this great day, hoping for a new Olympic day.
