The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Porfirije, on Tuesday welcomed the country’s president, Aleksandar Vučić, at the Patriarchal residence in Belgrade.

In a related development, His Holiness on Tuesday received Georgios Diakofotakis, Greece’s ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, at the Patriarchate.
In a cordial and friendly meeting, Patriarch Porfirije emphasized that the Serbian Orthodox Church remembers with gratitude the fraternal solidarity, and wholehearted help of the Greek people during difficult moments for the Serbian people.
Amb. Diakofotakis thanked His Holiness for the affection he holds for the Greek people and his efforts towards nurturing fraternal relations between Serbs and Greeks.
