Patriarch of Serbia Porfirije lends support to film recounting horrors of Jasenovac death camp

The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Porfirije, this week met with director Lordan Zafranovic to express his support for a film recounting the unspeakable horrors of the WWII-era concentration camp of Jasenovac.
The death camp, operated by the pro-Nazi and ultra-nationalist Ustasha regime in Croatia and parts of the former Yugoslavia, was an integral part of a genocide against Serbs, Jews and Roma, as well as dissident Croats and Muslim Bosniaks.
