The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, on Thursday presented the Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh, in the second degree, to former Russian president and prime minister Dmitry Medvedev.
A statement later issued by the Moscow Patriarchate cited Medvedev’s assistance towards the Resurrection New Jerusalem Stavropegic Monastery.
The presentation was conducted during a special ceremony at the Patriarchal residence in Moscow.
Medvedev is the current deputy chairman of Russia’s security council.
