The Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, His Beatitude John X, this week received Greece’s deputy minister of foreign affairs, Costas Vlassis, at the patriarchal residence in Balamand, Lebanon.
The meeting was also attended by the Greek ambassador to Lebanon, Greece’s Chargé d’ Affairs at its embassy in Damascus and other diplomats and Church hierarchs.
Talks focused on ways to better enhance cooperation between the Greek Orthodox Church of Antioch and All the East and the Greek government, particularly with a focus at the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology in Balamand.
