The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, issued a message on the occasion of the new academic year in the country.
In the message, His Beatitude referred to the paramount position held by the family and the Church in the education of children and young people, as well as the new realities in the education sector amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Still further to the east, in the eastern Mediterranean island of Cyprus, the Nativity of the Theotokos, the All-Holy Virgin Mary, was celebrated on Wednesday with a splendorous service at the celebrating Cathedral of the Panaghia Panta-NA-ssis, in the coastal city of Limassol.
A con-celebratory Archieratical Divine Liturgy was officiated by the Metropolitan of Limassol, His Most Reverend Athanasios.
