The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, arrived on Monday at the Entebbe airport in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.
The Primate of the Church of Alexandria arrived in Kampala to begin a wide-ranging missionary tour of Uganda and neighboring Tanzania.
The Patriarch was received with special honors at the airport by the locum tenens of the Metropolis of Kampala, Elder Metropolitan Makarios of Nairobi, Bishop Sylvester of Gulu and Eastern Uganda, as well as representatives of the Ugandan government, clerics and diplomats.
