The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, on Thursday welcomed the Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Jacqueline Azer, to the Patriarchate’s seat in Alexandria.
In a statement, His Most Divine Beatitude noted that “… I am happy because every day, every minute, I see that a beautiful city is developing. Alexandria is the queen of the Mediterranean; even though our president resides in Cairo, I know that the heart of President al-Sisi is in Alexandria…I would like to send a message of happiness to the governor and to those who dream of a humane, peaceful, friendly and beautiful Alexandria.”
