Ordination of two new Metropolitans of Church of Greece

Τwo new Metropolitans of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, Metropolitan Platon of Lagada, and Metropolitan Kallinikos of Kastoria, have been ordained after their election by members of the Church’s Holy Synod last Friday.
The ordination of another three newly elected Metropolitans is pending, namely, that of His Eminence Bartholomew of Polyanis and Kilkis, Gregory of Peristeri, and Amphilochios of Thira, Amorgos and the Isles. The latter ordinations will take place over the coming weekend and next Monday.

Members of the permanent Holy Synod of the Church of Greece will convene on Tuesday until Thursday this week to consider issues on the regular agenda.
