Ordination of new Metropolitan of Thira Amphilochios

The last of five recently elected Metropolitans of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece, and specifically the elected Metropolitan of Thira, Amorgos and the Isles, His Eminence Amphilochios, was ordained on Monday at the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral.
The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, officiated at the splendorous ordination service, which was co-officiated by several other Metropolitans and hierarchs of the Church of Greece.

The five new Metropolitans, all filling vacant thrones, were elected by members of the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod earlier this month.
