Metropolitan of Maronia & Komotini on Mt. Athos for Great Feast of the Dormition (based on Julian calendar)

The Metropolitan of Maronia and Komotini, His Eminence Panteleimon, arrived on the semi-autonomous monastic community of Mount Athos over the weekend for the celebration of the Great Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos, as based on the Julian calendar, at the invitation of the Elder Archimandrite Nathaniel, the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Iviron.
The Metropolitan of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, His Eminence Ioustinos, officiated at the con-celebratory All-night vigil on the eve of the Feast Day at the same monastery.
