The Metropolitan of Kitrous, His Eminence Georgios, has sent a letter to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, to ask for his support in maintaining the current framework governing higher ecclesiastical academies in the country.
His Eminence, who is also the president of the Higher Ecclesiastical Academy of Thessaloniki, stressed that the issue is not one of vested interests, but deals with fulfilling constitutional tenets regarding religion in the country.
