A memorial event was held this week at the Mahera township on Crete on the occasion of the anniversary of a WWII battle in the area.
The Metropolitan of Arkalohori, His Eminence Andreas, attended the event, held in honor of the combatants who fought against the German invaders and occupiers of the island during the second World War.
