The Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece on Thursday issued a circular to all Metropolitan sees throughout the country regarding measures against the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The circular notes that, due to a recent surge in COVID-19 cases, the Holy Synod appeals for a strict observance of protection measures against the spread of the virus when attending Church services, while encouraging the faithful to get vaccinated, “…as indicated by the medical community as an essential measure to protect against the pandemic.”
The circular also urges those who are not vaccinated to get tested with either a rapid or PCR test.
