Yesterday, His Beatitude pape and patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodoros II accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, Bishop Silvester, Priests and Deacons Traveled with His Company to Nsinze Namutumba District at the parish of St. Spyridon.
Later he visited the church of Holy Resurrection in Jinja City. In both parishes the choirs sung the Doxology and Bishop of Gulu Silvester as the Diocese Bishop welcomed His Beatitude with a lot of joy and love. The Patriarch responded with a lot of emotion.
In both parishes the Patriarch planted the tree in rememberance of His visit.
Young men and women were in both parishes performing traditional dances.
In the second parish of Jinja the Patriarch laid the foundation stone for the administrative Diocese Block.
Late afternoon the Patriarch arrived at the monastery of saint Catherine in kihindi in Buyikwe District where hundreds of people were waiting to welcome him with the band and traditional dances wearing traditional Uniforms. In the chapel of the monastery the Patriarch performed the vespers and tonsured a sister as a mother superior with Megalo skimmer.
I all parishes the people offered the Patriarch and his company delicious solidarity, dances and traditional supper. After His Beatitude and together with His Company spent a night at St. Catherine.
