Session of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy, entitled “The Future of Europe and the World after the Pandemic”, commenced on Thursday in western Crete, and will continue until Sunday. Lawmakers from 25 countries from around the world are attending the assembly.
Along with some 100 Christian Orthodox elected officials, representatives of Orthodox Churches, parliamentary organizations and academics will also be in attendance.
In a message to the delegates, Greek President Sakellaropoulou underlined that promotion of Orthodoxy today as a fundamental axis of contemporary civilization is as timely as ever.
