Greek culture minister tours restoration works at Monastery of Sts. Fanenton of Sami

The relevant Greek culture minister, Lina Mendoni, this month toured restoration works at the Monastery of Sts. Fanenton of Sami, on the Ionian island of Cephallonia. The works will begin at the monastery’s catholicos, of main cathedral, which dates to the 13th century, along with the chapel of St. Nicholas, dated to the 17th century. The total budget for the works is roughly 840,000 euros.
