Four new Bishops of the Archdiocese of Australia

Four new bishops were elected by the Sacred and Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for Australia, following a proposal by the Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios.

The hierarchs that will assume the posts are Bishop-Elect Kyriakos, who was appointed Arch-episcopal Vicar of Melbourne; Bishop-Elect Christodoulos, who was appointed Chief Secretary of the Synaxis of Bishops of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia; Bishop-Elect Evmenios, who was appointed Arch-episcopal Vicar of Northcote; and finally, Bishop-Elect Prochoros, who was appointed Arch-episcopal Vicar of Canberra.
