Feast day of St. Paisios at dedicated monastery in Beclean, Romania

The sole monastery in Romania dedicated to St. Paisios of Mount Athos celebrated the saint’s feast day this week, with the Metropolitan of Cluj, Maramureș and Sălaj, His Eminence Andrei, officiating at a con-celebratory Divine Liturgy at the monastery.

His Eminence spoke to the gathered faithful and monks about the life and teachings of St. Paisios, recalling his personal meeting with the saint on Mount Athos in 1991.

The monastery is located in Beclean, a city in north-eastern Transylvania, and was founded in June 2017.
