The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, His Holiness Kirill, on Sunday officiated at services at the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow, on the occasion of the feast day of Holy New Martyr Peter, Metropolitan of Krutitsa, who was persecuted, exiled and martyred at the hands of the Bolsheviks in 1937.
St. Peter Polyansky was canonized in 1999.
