An exodios funeral service was held today at the Cathedral of St. Spyridonas in the western city of Messolongi for the reposed Metropolitan of Aetolias and Akarnanias Kosmas, who passed away earlier this week at an Athens hospital’s ICU ward.
The beloved hierarch suffered from severe symptoms of the Covid-19 virus and underlying health conditions.
The exodios service was officiated by the Metropolitan of Nafpaktos & Aghios Vlassios, His Eminence Ierotheos, who also represented the Archbishop of Athens & All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos.
Interment followed at the Holy Monastery of the Entrance of the Theotokos Myrtias into the Temple, located in the Trichonida district of Aetoloakarnania prefecture of western Greece.
