An exhibition focusing on the 17th century Greek hieromonks Ioannikios and Sophronios Leichoudes, enlighteners of Russia, opened in Moscow on Thursday, co-organized by the Russian State Library and the Greek embassy in the Russian capital.
The event is part of the Russia-Greece Year of History.
The two brothers established the Slavo-Greko-Latin Academy in Moscow in 1685, credited by historians for spreading Greek learning to Russia.
