The Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic, the elected Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, this week called on the faithful to refrain from using their mobile phones during Church-going.
The newly elected Metropolitan spoke during the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Dani Ostrog.
Joanikije referred to what he said was a dependence that some people have with their mobile phones and various digital applications.
“It is a blessing to have a camera discreetly transmitting the Divine Liturgy… but when you come to Church leave your mobile phone in your car or deactivate it, and put it in your pocket.”
