Elder of Holy Monastery of Durahanis, Athanasios, reposes
The Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Durahanis, in northwest Greece’s Ioannina prefecture, the Elder Athanasios, reposed in the Lord today after a short illness caused by the coronavirus.
News of the Elder’s passing caused sadness and grief, as the beloved Abbot was known as the “people’s monk” in the wider area.
