The Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi, remained intubated on Saturday for a ninth straight day. Attending physicians described his condition as remaining stable, without any deterioration.
The beloved Elder remains in Athens’ Evagelismos Hospital’s ICU, fighting against the Covid-19 virus, as have millions of people around the world.
Attending physicians, headed by pulmonary specialist and epidemiologist Dr. Anastasia Kotanidou, are providing round-the-clock and the best possible care, similar to all the patients treated in Evagelismos’ ICU since the beginning of the pandemic.
