Elder Archimandrite Ephraim leaves hospital
After a month and a half of treatment at the Evangelismos Hospital’s ICU, the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim was released today, Saturday, from the central Athens hospital.
The beloved Abbot of the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi exited the hospital’s doors in the early morning hours, and will continue his recuperation at a rehabilitation center.
Physicians and nursing staff bid farewell to the Elder in an emotional send-off, and joyous over the fact that he overcame a life-threatening illness.
On Friday afternoon, the Elder Ephraim was visited by the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, as well as the Civil Governor of Mount Athos, Athanasios Martinos.
