The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Monday officiated at the solemn Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Paraskevi, in the Bosporus district of Pikridi, called Haşköy in Turkish, and on the occasion of the feast day of the saint.
In a sermon, His All Holiness referred to the life and martyrdom of the saint, whose feast day is one of 20 commemorating female saints in the month of July, and who serve as a sterling example for modern-day Christian women, as he said.
