Sunday Of Forgiveness/Cheesefare Sunday At Holy Ressurection Cathedral Jinja.

Today His Grace Bishop Silvester celebrated the Divine Liturgy and later on participated in the Vespers of Forgiveness which marks the Beginning of the Great Lent period.

In His sermon His Grace reminded the faithful to continue being mindful of Covid-19 which remains a problem to the public. He also called upon the faithful to begin the lenten period with sincere repentance, reconciliation and peace as people of God.

He finally wished to all a blessed Lenten period, asking them to remember the Lord’s word saying: “WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO” (Matthew 6:21), And by this, to be careful, not to be taken only by worldly things but to invest in the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Source of Life and every good thing.
