The spokesman of the permanent Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos, His Eminence Timotheos, in statements to public television on Friday, said the Church faces all issues without tension or misunderstandings, and always in a responsible manner.
The statement comes a day after the Holy Synod issued a circular calling on the faithful to get vaccinated for Covid-19, and or at the least, for worshippers attending Church services to perform rapid or PCR tests beforehand.
His Eminence referred to an effort to support the state’s actions to prevent infections, as a surge in the number of cases has been recorded in the country over the past week.
