Beloved abbot of Hamatoura monastery in Lebanon, Elder Panteleimon, reposes in the Lord

The Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Hamatoura in Lebanon, Abbot Hieromonk Panteleimon, reposed in the Lord on Sunday.
The reposed Elder served as the spiritual father of many Arab-speaking Orthodox Christians, and was distinguished his knowledge of Byzantine ecclesiastical music and the psaltic hymn-singing tradition.

The reposed Abbot often expressed his love for Mount Athos and retained long-standing spiritual ties with Athonite fathers.
