Archbishop of Cyprus issues ultimatum to clerics that urged faithful not to get vaccinated for Covid-19

The Archbishop of Cyprus, His Beatitude Chrysostomos, this week issued an ultimatum to clerics of the Archdiocese who have urged the faithful to avoid vaccination for the Covid-19 virus. The ultimatum expires at the end of the week.

The Archbishop said that if these clerics do not issue a public apology, along with a written statement to the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus over what he called their unacceptable sermons, then their salaries would not be dispensed at the end of the month.
