Archbishop of Athens and All Greece attends event on occasion of 40th anniversary of country’s entry into then EEC

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, on Thursday evening attended a commemorative event in central Athens on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Greece’s entry into the then European Economic Community, today’s European Union. The event was also attended by the country’s president, Katerina Sakellaropoulos, and addressed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Also in attendance were the president of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, and the president of the European Council, Charles Michel.
