Archbishop of America Elpidophoros officiates at Exaltation of the Holy Cross at celebrating cathedral in Whitestone, NY

The Archbishop of America, His Eminence Elpidophoros, on Tuesday officiated at the Divine Liturgy of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at the celebrating Greek Orthodox cathedral in Whitestone, New York.
On the occasion of the feast day, His Eminence called on the faithful in America to consider sending their children to the Hellenic College & Holy Cross School Of Theology, in Boston, Mass.
The Archbishop also referred to the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s still closed Halki School of Theology, as this year marks the dour 50th anniversary since the seminary was ordered shut by Turkish authorities.
