Archbishop of Albania Anastasios conveys his congratulations to newly enthroned Metropolitan-Bishop of Montenegro Joanikije

The Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and All Albania, His Beatitude Anastasios, was the latest Orthodox hierarch this month to convey his congratulations to newly enthroned Metropolitan-Bishop of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Eminence Joanikije.
His Beatitude also gifted the Metropolitan an Icon of the Resurrection of the Lord, which was crafted in Albania with the blessing of the Archbishop.

In a related development, the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Hiliander on Mount Athos, the Elder Archimandrite Methodios, this week visited the historic cathedral of St. George, in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

The Elder Methodios arrived in the Adriatic country for Sunday’s enthronement of metropolian Joanikije.

The church of St. George is the oldest cathedral in Podgorica.
