The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, this week received the new speaker of Cyprus’ House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou.
The Primate of the Church of Greece warmly welcomed the top Cypriot lawmaker, and recalled his university days in the 1950s, when rallies in favor of Cypriot independence were commonplace in Athens.
His Beatitude later received ruling New Democracy deputy and former tourism minister Haris Theoharis.
