Annual commemorative events, celebrations and a military parade in the northern city of Thessaloniki, scheduled at the end of the month, will take place as planned, the relevant alternate interior minister said on Tuesday.

Three days of events begin in Thessaloniki on Oct. 26, the feast day of St. Demetrius, the city’s patron saint, and culminate on Oct. 28, when a military parade through the center of the city commemorates Greece’s entry into WWII on the side of the Allies.
