Greece’s president of the republic, Katerinia Sakellaropoulou, today began a four-day visit to the Evros prefecture in extreme northeast Greece, on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the region’s liberation and inclusion into the modern Greek state. As part of her official contacts, the Greek president will meet with the Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis, Trajanopolis and Samothrace, His Eminence Anthimos and the Metropolitan of Didimoticho, Orestiada and Soufli, His Eminence Damaskinos.
