The Patriarchate of Alexandria, along with the Leventis Foundation of Cyprus, participated in a splendorous event at the renowned Library of Alexandria on Wednesday, marking the completion of an effort to preserve 100 ancient manuscripts retained by the Patriarchal Library.
In his address, the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, warmly thanked Cyprus, while highlighting the strong cooperation between Egypt and Cyprus in this sector.
In a statement, the Patriarch of Alexandria noted that “…These books will never die; they will always be studied by experts. The ink came to life and wrote the knowledge”, while he also stressed the contribution of Egypt and its President, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, in the missionary work of the Patriarchate.
