Greek gov’t studying new Covid-19-related measures ahead of Christmas, New Year’s Holidays
The Greek government on Monday said public health experts and epidemiologists in the country were studying the prospect of requiring testing for the Covid-19 virus on the entire population ahead of the coming Christmas and New Year’s holiday.
Currently, no new measures have been announced, with citizens in the country above the age of 60 imposed a 100-euro, per month, fine for failing to get a Covid-19 vaccination.
In a television appearance, the relevant health minister added that there is no data showing any extensive spreading of the Omikron variant in Greece so far, as opposed to other countries, although experts forecast that the latter variant will be more pronounced next month, January.
