‘Heartlessness: A Lack of Compassion’ – a discussion with the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim

The online platform Pemptousia.tv on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at 19.30 Athens time (17.30 GMT), will host an online synaxis, or assembly, with the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim of Vatopedi, on the topic of “Heartlessness: A Lack of Compassion”.

The timely assembly will focus on our daily lives, people’s relations with one another and the family, often burdened by the strain and alienation that causes us to lose touch with those nearest to us because of a “hardened heart”.

How can we overcome this bleakness with love, forgiveness and patience? What causes a lack of compassion and how are we responsible?

The Elder Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi, will answer questions after his address, which will be translated into Romanian, English, Russian and Georgian.

The two-hour online synaxis will be hosted by the online magazine Pemptousia and the Romanian portal Doxologia, and can also be viewed from the platform www.pemptousia.tv on all devices and smart TVs.
