Distinguished benefactor A. Martinos to fully cover rebuilding of collapsed chapel in eastern Crete

The civil governor of Mount Athos, Athanasios Martinos, has accepted a request by the Greek government and the local Metropolis in eastern Crete to finance the full rebuilding of the historic chapel of St. Nicholas, in the Sitia region. The chapel collapsed earlier this week after a 6.3 on the Richter scale earthquake shook the large island of Crete.
