Archbishop Niphon (Saykali) elected as Metropolitan

Bishop Gregorios Khoury elected as Patriarchal Vicar and Secretary of the Holy Synod Archimandrite Arsanios Dahdal and Archimandrite Mousa al-Khasi, elected as Assistant Bishops to the Patriarch.
The Holy Antiochian Synod, held in Balamand this evening, elected Archbishop Niphon Saykali of Shehba, a Metropolitan and a member of the Holy Synod. The Holy Synod also elected Bishop Gregorios Khoury as the Patriarchal Vicar and Secretary of the Holy Synod, and Archimandrite Arsanios Dahdal as an Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, with the title of Bishop of Hierapolis (Jarabulus). Likewise, Archimandrite Mousa al-Khasi was elected as an Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, with the title of Bishop of Larissa (Shaizer).
