Elder Metropolitan of Thira Epiphanios bids farewell to clergy, faithful ahead of election of new Metropolitan following his retirement

The Elder Metropolitan of Thira, Amorgos and the Isles, His Eminence Epiphanios, on Sunday officiated at an emotion-filled Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Presentation of Our Lord and Savior in the Temple, located in the town of Fira, on Thira, or Santorini.
The Elder Metropolitan bid farewell to the clergy and the flock with a patristic address, as a new shepherd of the specific Metropolis will be elected on Friday by members of the Church of Greece’s Holy Synod.

Epiphanios had recently submitted his resignation to the Holy Synod after 18 years of ministry and contribution to the Holy Metropolis.
