Patriarch of Romania: First hospitals established by the Church

The Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, in his sermon on the 6th Sunday of Matthew, reminded that the first hospitals in the country and other states were established by the Church.
Among others, His Beatitude noted that “Today’s Gospel reading urges every Christian to bring to his soul the Merciful Love of Christ, which is acquired through prayer.”
